The 8(a) Business Development Program is a nine-year platform that provides business training, counseling, marketing, and technical assistance to small businesses in the federal contracting marketplace. 8(a) businesses are eligible to compete for certain set-aside contracts as well as have the opportunity to receive sole-source contracts (with a ceiling of up to $4 million for goods and services).
